The status quo

Gaming operators have been paying too much for cash access.

Traditional cash advance vendors earn a share of every transaction processed on your floor. The technology ages, contracts get longer, and revenue continues leaving the property.

01

You share every transaction

The buy rate model means your vendor earns a percentage of every dollar your patrons advance on the floor, including waived fees. That number compounds quietly and quickly.

02

The technology hasn't kept up

Legacy cash advance systems were not built for diverse payment needs.

03

The contract locks you in

Long terms with limited leverage at renewal. Feature requests that go unanswered. Price increases are absorbed because switching is complicated. The vendor relationship works better for the vendor than it does for you.

A better model for gaming operators

Keep the revenue. Own the operation.

SX2 provides the casino cash advance software platform that powers your cash access operation. You pay a fixed monthly licence fee and keep the transaction revenue generated on your floor.

What Changes

You own the merchant relationship, gain direct control over your cash access operation, and stop sharing transaction revenue with a third-party vendor. Real-time reporting, compliance tools, patron support, and reconciliation are built into one platform | not locked behind vendor-generated exports.

What Stays the Same

Your gaming licence. Your regulatory relationships. Your operational workflows. SX2 provides the software, onboarding, and expertise to help you go live quickly, with minimal disruption to your cage and floor operations.

The process

Tracked from authorization through settlement.

Every cash advance transaction is tracked, verified, and reconciled from authorization through settlement.

1

Patron Starts Transaction

The patron selects a language, chooses an amount, reviews fees, and completes a secure card authorization. Responsible gaming limits are checked before amount selection.

2

Transaction Authorized

The authorization is approved and instantly appears in the cage workstation, with a live expiry timer.

3

Cashier Verifies Identity

The cashier retrieves the transaction, verifies government-issued identification, captures a digital signature, and disburses funds.

4

Funds Settle Directly to Your Merchant Account

Transactions settle directly to your casino's merchant account. SX2 provides the software and reporting layer. The settlement revenue belongs to the property.

Patron experience

A kiosk built for a genuinely diverse patron base.

Most casino floors serve a genuinely diverse patron base. The SX2 kiosk was designed for that reality from the beginning. Six languages with proper localization. Responsible gaming prompts, spending limit acknowledgements, and RG donation options built into the transaction flow, meeting US state and Canadian provincial responsible gaming requirements by default. A clean, fast experience that reduces cage lineups and keeps your floor moving.

Built for the pace of your busiest night.

The cage workstation is a single-screen workflow designed around how a cashier actually works | not how a software architect imagined it. Search pending transactions by card last four. See the pre-authorization with a live expiry timer. Scan government ID in one step. Capture digital signature. Print both copies of the receipt. Complete the transaction without switching applications, navigating menus, or waiting for a system that hasn't been updated since it was installed.

  • Pending transaction queue with live expiry countdowns
  • Single-scan OPOS ID verification
  • Supervisor override and manager controls built in
  • Void and reprint handled without calling support

Common questions

What gaming operators ask before switching.

What is the SX2 PayTech pricing model?

SX2 operates on a flat monthly licence fee model. You pay a fixed monthly fee for the software platform and keep all of the transaction revenue your patrons generate on the floor. There are no per-transaction fees and no buy-rate percentages paid to SX2. Pricing is based on property configuration. Contact us for a quote specific to your operation.

Which markets does SX2 PayTech serve?

SX2 works with licensed gaming operators across the United States and Canada. In Canada, this includes properties regulated by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis commission (AGLC), and Ontario. In the United States, SX2 supports operators licensed under applicable state gaming commissions. The platform is built to support compliance requirements, reporting obligations, and responsible gaming standards for each jurisdiction.

How long does implementation take?

Most properties are live within 30 days. SX2 introduces the relationship with the gateway and acquirer and ties into them as part of the implementation. The process includes system configuration, cage staff training, and a supervised go-live period. SX2 provides onboarding support throughout. Your gaming licence and existing regulatory relationships are not affected by the switch.

Is SX2 PayTech compliant with gaming regulations in the US and Canada?

Yes. The platform is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and P2PE encrypted. In Canada, SX2 is PIPEDA compliant and includes FINTRAC AML reporting with responsible gaming controls for BCLC, AGLC, Ontario, and other provincial requirements. In the United States, SX2 supports BSA/AML reporting obligations and responsible gaming controls for state-licensed operators. Contact us for jurisdiction-specific compliance documentation.

What languages does the patron kiosk support?

The SX2 patron kiosk supports six languages: English, French, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Punjabi, and Arabic. Arabic includes full right-to-left layout and correctly rendered typography, not a transliteration overlay. Language selection is available at the start of every transaction.

What happens if the system goes down?

SX2 operates at 99.99% uptime on Google Cloud infrastructure across North America. For questions about support availability, SLA terms, and incident response for gaming floors, contact our team directly. Response and escalation details are provided to all licensed operators during onboarding.
